Recipe for Chicken Katsu

You will first need several chicken breasts, bread crumbs, flour, and eggs. You may buy these ingredients at your nearby grocery store. This recipe is fairly easy to make and will only take around 10 minutes to prepare. Take note that is it very important to be cooking this dish at the appropriate temperature (350 degrees F) as the breading will separate if the temperature is too low. wsefsf

How to prepare it

First you should season both sides of the chicken breasts with salt. Then you coat them with some flour and dip them into an egg mix. Then you cover both sides of the chicken breast with the bread crumbs firmly. Lastly, you may heat up a skillet and cook each side of the chicken breast for 3-5 minutes or until each side is golden brown. Now enjoy!

History of the Dish

Chicken Katsu was developed in Japan alongside Western influence. The plate is somewhat based off of the normal chicken nuggets recipe that we all know and love. The only difference is that bread crumbs are used instead and the chicken is served in larger slices and is kept moist inside. There're several kinds of katsu you may make such as with beef or pork. The dish may also be served with a signature katsu sauce and a side of vegetables to give it more color.
